TechFlash Summer BBQ: July 23

Picnik today plans to announce that its online photo editing tools will be integrated with SmugMug.com, an online photo site with more than 300,000 paying members.
The deal marks the latest win for Seattle-based Picnik, which has been on an absolutely tear in recent months.
Last month, Picnik attracted 5.6 million unique visitors and a whopping 18.8 million visits. That compares to 4.6 million visitors and 14.8 million visits for the previous month.
The trend lines for the first part of November show that those numbers were no fluke. And as people spend more time with family photos during the holidays, Picnik may continue to grow.
The company, which recently expanded into new office space in Seattle, also is generating positive cash flow in part through a premium offering that costs $24.95 per year. (The company also offers a free, ad-supported service).
It has done all this without the help of venture capital guided by experienced founders Jonathan Sposato, Darrin Massena and Mike Harrington. In addition to SmugMug, the company also has deals with Flickr, PhotoBucket, MySpace and others.
With numbers and partnerships like those, it wouldn't be surprising to see Picnik gobbled up.
