Bothell's Dexterra has landed another round of capital, this time a $21.5 million whopper led by New Enterprise Associates.
With the economy in turmoil, it is not a bad time to have a little extra cash in the bank -- or under the mattress.
"Today's challenging economic environment makes deciding which companies to invest in more difficult than ever," said NEA's Scott Sandell in a statement. "We've been closely watching the growth of enterprise mobility and Dexterra is well positioned as a market leader."
Dexterra, which helps mobile workers access back office applications while in the field, raised $36 million from the same investor syndicate last year. The 145-person company has raised $106.5 million to date.
In July, it named former IBM executive Michael Liebow as chief executive. If the carnage on Wall Street continues, it will be interesting to see if other companies raise inside rounds from existing investors in order to insulate themselves from a larger economic collapse.
