U.S. News & World Report named Amazon.com founder Jeff Bezos one of "America's best leaders," along with such luminaries as cyclist Lance Armstrong, Secretary of Defense Robert Gates, and director Stephen Spielberg. Bezos sums up his philosophy this way: "If you don't have a willingness to be misunderstood for a long period of time, then you can't have a long-term orientation."
