Hunger for recipes lifts Seattle sites |

Seattle-based Allrecipes.com was the cream of the crop among the big Internet food sites in October, according to new data from comScore Networks. And Delish.com, the partnership of Hearst and Microsoft's MSN, vaulted into the No. 5 slot a little more than a month after its debut.
The sites appear to be benefiting from the troubled economy, as people decide to eat at home rather than spending scarce cash at restaurants. Allrecipes says it's averaging 30 percent year-over-year monthly growth in unique visitors, and its advertising revenue is up 65 percent year-over year, significantly outpacing the industry average.

A Microsoft representative notes that more than 98 percent of the traffic to Delish.com came from MSN.com, underscoring the continued significance of the company's main Internet portal.
