Obama books soar on Amazon.com
Barack Obama is juicing book sales a day after his election victory.
The president-elect is the subject of 12 books on Amazon.com's Top 25 "Movers & Shakers" list Wednesday, indicating the biggest gainers in sales rank in the last 24 hours.
The list includes both of Obama's autobiographies, "Dreams from my Father" and "The Audacity of Hope."
The highest-ranking Mover & Shaker among the Obama books is "Hopes and Dreams: The Story of Barack Obama," which saw its sales rank jump more than 5,000 percent in the last 24 hours.
Next in line is the illustrated children's book "Barack Obama: Son of Promise, Child of Hope." Its sales rank jumped more than 1,600 percent.
Something called "Obama Paper Dolls" just missed the Top 25 list, coming in 26th place.
Both of Obama's autobiographies are ranked high on Amazon's Bestsellers list, with "The Audacity of Hope" at No. 2 and "Dreams from My Father" at No. 8.
If Obama needs any more indication of the challenges ahead as he prepares to take office, he need look no further than the top of the bestseller list.
The No. 1 book is called "I.O.U.S.A.: One Nation. Under Stress. In Debt."
