Jonathan Roberts, an Entellium board member and co-founder of Ignition Partners, has been relatively quiet since news broke in early October on the wire fraud case. But, in a declaration today as part of the Chapter 11 bankruptcy filing, Roberts said that the company has been "victimized" by former executives Paul Johnston and Parrish Jones.
The venture capitalist also asked the bankruptcy court to approve an "employee retention plan" for key workers who have stuck with troubled company. That plan includes "incentive bonuses" for 15 employees in the Seattle offices ranging from $5,583 to $24,033. And if three of those employees -- vice president of human resources Melisah Wojtacha, controller Sonya Huntzinger and Pam Omdahl in accounts receivable -- are let go they would receive severance packages under the plan ranging from $5,751 to $29,167. "These three employees have been instrumental to the wind-down and sales process of Entellium and are deemed critical by Intuit to remain employed by the Debtors until Closing in order to preserve the value of the assets," the declaration says. It also notes that 15 employees in the company's Malaysian offices would receive a retention payment totaling $139,352 if they stayed with the company through the sale.
Some former Entellium employees are angry that they did not receive severance packages, prompting Leif Jensen to file a suit in King County Superior Court last month over his lack of severance. The attorney representing Entellium Corp. in the bankruptcy case today told TechFlash that employees who file wage claims with the court may have the ability to receive some payment.
