Top iPhone applications for 08
iPhone addicts can now browse lists of the top applications for the year, including categories such as games, education and finance. Two Seattle companies make the cut. PopCap Games, maker of the puzzle game Bejeweled 2, currently resides in the top 10 in the games category with its $2.99 app, while Seattle restaurant locator Urbanspoon continues to rise up the charts in the free applications group.
In fact, the folks at Apple liked the Urbanspoon app so much they recently designed a TV ad around it. Others that make the free list include Pandora, Shazam, Facebook, AIM and Lightsaber Unleashed. In fact, Pandora -- the online music application -- has been downloaded more than two million times.
