Are you still trying to digest Barack Obama's weighty inaugural speech? A new online search tool from Seattle's Delve Networks can help point out key phrases and words, showing a color-coded heat map of where certain words were used. For example, you can find out that the new president primarily used the word "economy" in the middle of the speech.
You can also search for words such as "war," "hope" and "Iraq." Delve's audio search toolbar marks key phrases in red (highly relevant) yellow (relevant) and green (somewhat relevant). Then click on the navigation bar to jump to that portion of the video.
Delve isn't the only company offering an interactive tool based on the inauguration: Microsoft and CNN have a cool feature that gathers images from people at the inauguration to create a Photosynth, recreating the scene in three dimensions.
And if you want to get just a visual sense of the words Obama used and how it compares to past presidential speeches, make sure to check out ReadWriteWeb's use of Wordle to formulate a tag cloud of key words. It looks like "nation," "people," and "new" were the key words for Obama, versus "freedom" in George Bush's last inaugural speech.
