Seattle company's new take on booth babes: Delicious Librarians |

SAN FRANCISCO -- One of the more creative booths at Macworld Expo this year belongs to Delicious Monster, the Seattle-based company that makes the Delicious Library personal cataloging software for Macs. The booth's background is a real-world replica of Delicious Library interface's on-screen interface, a series of wood shelves with books, DVDs and other media.
But the company's real trick for getting people to stop seems to be the "Delicious Librarians" who are staffing the booth, demonstrating the Delicious Library software in outfits you probably won't see behind the counter at your local library. It's a studious spin on the sometimes controversial tradition of "booth babes" at industry trade shows.
On a more serious note, the company's Web site hints at the possibility of a Delicious Library iPhone app, but I didn't see any evidence of one at the booth or in the iTunes store. I've put a message in to Wil Shipley, the Delicious Monster co-founder, and I'll update this post depending on the response.
For more background on the company, see this story I filed from Macworld a couple years ago.
