You've heard of the Bill and Melinda Gates Foundation. But did you know about the Stephen and Melinda Gates Foundation? That's Stephen -- as in satirist Stephen Colbert. In the most recent episode of The Colbert Report, the late night talk show host says his foundation is hurting for funds following the Bernie Madoff scandal.
"I will tell you, before this scandal broke, my non profit was making huge profits. But now the Stephen and Melinda Gates Foundation is flat broke. The worst part: We were just weeks away from finding a cause. World hunger? I guess we will never know now."
Even goofier stuff on he Wikiality site, where someone writes that the Stephen and Melinda Gates Foundation "has the goal of someday sending Lance Bass and Tom Cruise into space."
This isn't the first time that Colbert has brought up the Stephen and Melinda Gates Foundation as can be seen in this video. (Warning: Includes Ballmer Monkey Boy dance at minute 1:50)
