ThePlatform, the online video distribution unit of Comcast, has inked a deal to publish and manage online video on behalf of News Corp.'s Australian subsidiary News Limited. As part of the deal, ThePlatform will handle video distribution for 50 Web properties, including newspaper sites such as The Australian. Based in Seattle, ThePlatform also provides its video service to The Associated Press, Gannett and other media companies.
