Report: Paul Allen's Charter hires turnaround specialist

On the brink of bankruptcy, Paul Allen's Charter Communications has hired the turnaround expert who helped salvage HealthSouth. Citing a person familiar with the company, Reuters reports that Charter has hired Greg Doody. The move comes after Charter missed a deadline for a $74 million debt payment on Jan. 14, with reports that the St. Louis-based cable company is preparing bankruptcy documents.
