This is an idea whose time has come. The Washington Technology Industry Association and the Northwest Entrepreneur Network today announced a joint membership program, allowing people to become members of both organizations for an annual fee of $260. Those who register for both will get discounts on events and services, including health care and education programs.
NWEN charges entrepreneurs $125 annually, while the WTIA charges $220 for individual members. The partnership comes just a few days after Rebecca Lovell started as the new executive director of NWEN. The WTIA's Ken Myer said the two organizations are "offering one-stop access to our combined services at a time when entrepreneurs and companies of all sizes are looking for ways to cope with a challenging economic climate."
