In partnership with Photobucket, Ontela scores T-mobile deal
Ontela has been on a bit of a roll lately, tapping a new CFO and pulling in cash from the venture arm of Ericsson. Now, the Seattle startup -- whose technology helps consumers easily move photos from their camera phones to their computers -- has scored a deal with Photobucket to provide its service to T-Mobile.
With the deal, Ontela now has 30 mobile carriers as customers.
The new T-mobile service allows users of five phones -- including the Blackberry Curve and Blackberry Pearl -- to send photos to a Photobucket album, a PC hard drive or to an email address. T-mobile is offering a version of the photo uploader for free, with a premium version available for a one time fee of $19.99.
Last November, Ontela scored a similar partnership with Verizon.
