Melodeo is taking its popular iPhone application and nuTsie mobile music offering to the Google Android store. The application, offered at an introductory price of $9.95, allows users to access their iTunes music libraries on their phones, receive recommendations for similar artists and discover other users' playlists.
It also plans to offer its $2.99 application that allows people to listen to the top 100 songs for each year from 1950 to 2008.
"Rolling nuTsie out on Android is another step along our path to becoming the go-to company for music and media apps across all smartphone platforms," said nuTsie CEO Jim Billmaier in a press release.
The company plans to offer more of its iPhone apps in the Google Android store in the coming weeks. Melodeo has more than two dozen apps in the iPhone store, including $1.99 titles such as "The 100 Greatest Metal Songs of all Time" and "Top 100 Songs of the 60s."
