Rajeev Singh
Concur CEO Steve Singh wasn't the only executive at the Redmond company with an altered bio. Turns out his brother Rajeev Singh -- who serves as president and COO -- inaccurately reported in older financial filings that he had a degree from Kettering University when he did not.
It is yet another strange turn of events in what Barron's -- which inquired about Rajeev Singh's background -- is calling "Diploma-Gate." Rajeev Singh apparently received his degree from Western Michigan University, not Kettering as was written in financial documents at the time of Concur's IPO.
The company's stock was hammered last Friday after Steve Singh's inaccurate bio was revealed, but regained some territory earlier today after the board offered their support.
Here's the company's full statement on Rajeev Singh's situation:
Rajeev Singh attended both Kettering University and Western Michigan University. He received a Bachelor of Science in Engineering from Western Michigan University. During a short period of time following Concur’s IPO in 1998, our public filings incorrectly stated that Mr. Singh’s degree was from Kettering University.
