PitchFork Media, the popular indie music site, has chosen Seattle-based Delve Networks to deliver its online video. The new customer was well received by some of the music-loving, young developers at Delve, with CEO Alex Castro saying many of them were "thrilled" to be working on the project.
"They are using the entire Delve video platform, e.g, video player with HD support, the content management solution, advertising integration, and they make extensive use of our web services APIs to integrate the video deeply within their site experience," Castro wrote in an email. He said other notable deals will be announced in a few weeks. In 2007, Delve - then known as Pluggd -- raised $6 million from Intel Capital, DFJ Frontier and others.
Here's Castro chatting with Beet.TV about Delve and how it differs from other online video offerings.
