BlueKai is taking issue with a story in The New York Times that says "Google will be the first major company to give users the ability to see and edit the information that it has compiled about their interests for the purposes of behaviorial targeting." Bellevue's BlueKai says it was the first, setting up its "polite data exchange" in September 2008 that allows consumers to see what information has been collected about them.
Just in time for Spring Break. Expedia's shares gained this morning after the Bellevue online travel company announced a new promotion called "Free Nights and No Fee Flights" that gives travelers one free night stay at more than 700 participating hotels for stays of more than three nights. It is also waiving booking fees on flights until May 31.
