Just four weeks after its debut, Seattle startup Inkd said that it has attracted more than 1,000 new print designs from contributors in more than 20 countries. Inkd CEO Kelly Smith said the company is creating an online marketplace where small businesses can purchase templates for newsletters, flyers, brochures and business cards.

Insitu, a unit of The Boeing Co., said it has won a $30 million contract to provide unmanned aircraft vehicle services to Canadian military forces operating in Afghanistan.
Speaking of aviation, Kent-based Naverus has raised $4 million in venture funding from Foundation Capital and East Peak Partners for a new flight navigation system that reduces carbon emissions and aircraft fuel use by picking more efficient flight paths.
T-Mobile USA's subscriber growth continues to take a hit. The Bellevue company -- a unit of Deutsche Telekom and the fourth largest wireless carrier in the U.S. -- said that it had 415,000 net subscriber additions during the first quarter. (Note: Wording has changed.) That compares to 981,000 for the same period last year, and 621,000 during the fourth quarter.

Netscape founder Marc Andreessen and former Opsware exec Ben Horowitz -- who just participated in the $5.1 million funding of Seattle's ExtraHop Networks -- are looking to raise a $250 million venture fund, reports PeHub.com.
Minecode, a troubled Web development company whose CEO and product manager pleaded guilty to computer intrusion charges earlier this year, has named Christopher Mayer as vice president of client services. Mayer previously worked at Denali Advanced Integration and SolutionsIQ.
Kryptiq, a Hillsboro, Oregon startup backed by Voyager Capital, Intel and others, has sold its health plan management software business to Portico Systems in a deal of undisclosed size. It will now focus efforts on its Connect IQ technology, which helps doctors, pharmacists, health care providers and patients better share information.
Mpire today introduced a new online tool called AdXpose to help advertisers better track the performance of ad campaigns across third party ad networks and exchanges.

Seattle advertising agency Creature has developed a campaign for Pacifico Beer around a new iPhone application dubbed the Rooster Alarm Clock. Users of the free app can set the alarm clock on their phone in order to be awakened by Claudio, the official mascot of the beer. They also can watch a live video feed of a rooster. "Download El Gallo de Pacifico and wake up with your very own Mexican rooster," the site says.
