Yet another Seattle area startup is getting exposure in an iPhone commercial. This time its Innerfence, whose Credit Card Terminal application is the first of three products featured in an ad titled "Office."
Developed by former Microsofties Derek Del Conte and Ryan Johnson -- featured on TechFlash last December -- Credit Card Terminal allows small merchants to turn the phone into a payment processing device. Unlike most apps, it costs $49.99.
Last November, Seattle restaurant locator Urbanspoon also was featured in an iPhone ad. Of course, there's cool stuff being developed here, but I also wonder if Apple takes a certain amount of pride in showcasing applications developed in Microsoft's backyard.
