Andreessen's VC fund; a pet horoscope app; and more
Netscape co-founder Marc Andreessen and former Opsware executive Ben Horowitz, recent investors in Seattle's ExtraHop Networks, are likely to exceed the $250 million target for their new venture fund, reports Private Equity Insider.
Now we've seen it all. Movaya Wireless has introduced an iPhone app with weekly horoscopes for your pet, with the description saying that it will help you understand your dog or cat better by uncovering "what the Cosmos reveals about how your pet may think, feel and behave in advance."
Bothell biotech MDRNA said that it has reduced its board by three members, with Dr. Steven Quay, Alex Cross and Jack Pollock leaving the board.
The Stranger's Eli Sanders offers a brilliant piece of reporting on the new direction of SeattlePI.com after sneaking into a swanky shin dig at the Seattle Art Museum this week, though the piece might make old school journalists want to puke.
ZymoGenetics Chief Medical Officer and Senior Vice President Nicole Onetto today stepped down from her position at the Seattle biotech company, according to a SEC filing. The move comes about a month after Zymo said it would cut a third of its staff and exit oncology research.
The Motley Fool speculates that Seattle local advertising company, Marchex, could prove to be interesting acquisition fodder for Yahoo.
