Yep, Apple definitely needs Steve Jobs to come back soon -- if not to oversee the company's products, then to revive its Microsoft jokes.
Reports from Apple's WorldWide Developers Conference yesterday had executive Bertrand Serlet taking a few swipes at Microsoft's Windows 7, but with little of the imagination or humor on display when CEO Jobs was running the show. So we jogged our memories and went back through some online archives to find a few of Apple's best Microsoft jabs from recent years. Enjoy.

At Apple's 2006 WorldWide Developers Conference, the company hung signs with messages including "Introducing Vista 2.0" and "Mac OS X Leopard: Hasta la vista, Vista." (Flickr photo by Kimtaro.)

On stage at Macworld 2007, Jobs quoted from an email in which former Microsoft Windows chief Jim Allchin wrote, "I would buy a Mac today if I was not working at Microsoft." Said the Apple CEO, "I've alerted our Seattle stores to keep an eye out for him and give him really good service." (Flickr photo by Dan Farber.)

And finally, at Apple's 2007 WWDC, this was the opening video.
