One man's secret, 7-step plan to take control of the UW
Asked to say a few words about creating the winning film of the first UW PocketMedia Film Festival, Mark Blasco, a building services supervisor in the Husky Union Building offered a bit of advice. "When given the choice to shave your chest or use Photoshop, choose Photoshop," said Blasco, who created a musical comedy that follows his attempts to take over the UW.
You'll have to watch his entry -- one of 35 -- to see just what his advice was alluding to. (There's even an I Can Has Cheezburger reference.) Each film was shot with an electronic device small enough to fit in a pocket and could last no longer than 90 seconds.
This year's theme was "What do you do at the UW?" The event was sponsored by the UW's Masters of Communication in Digital Media, Zooppa, Apple, SIFF, Flip Video and others.
