Advanced Inquiry Systems, Hillsoboro, Oregon company that is developing new testing systems for semiconductors, has raised $11 million from existing investors OVP Venture Partners, TL Ventures, Intel Capital and others. The deal marks one of the largest investments in an Oregon startup company so far this year, reports Mike Rogoway of The Oregonian.
The 4-year-old company also announced that it has received a large purchase order for the system from an undisclosed Asian semiconductor maker.
"Our investors recognize that AISI has immense potential, with an opportunity to serve an established growth market," said Michael Wright, president and CEO. "This round of funding will provide AISI the capital required to reach its next significant milestone – customer validation of full wafer test."
