Video: Microsoft's 'GoMap' app
One of the applications shown at Microsoft's inaugural "WinMoDevCamp" in Redmond today was a prototype developed for internal use at the company -- specifically, to help Microsoft's employees avoid getting lost in the company's labyrinthine buildings. It builds on the Microsoft Tag bar-code reading application that debuted earlier this year at the Consumer Electronics Show.
Here's a video of Loke Uei of Microsoft's Mobile Developer Experience Team providing us a demo of GoMap. The company presented it to developers as an example of how to leverage the Windows Mobile platform. The plan is to roll the app out inside the company, but the application could also work in other settings and corporate campuses.
