One of the highlights of the Penny Arcade Expo each year is the "Pitch Your Game Idea" panel, an American Idol-style audition process that ends up being more about entertaining the crowd than anything else.
Contestants are warned in advance that if they really want to develop the game they're pitching, they should think twice about discussing it in a public forum. In that spirit, the clips above focus on some of the funnier moments -- including a contestant who offered a game based on the life experience of Wil Wheaton, the former "Star Trek: The Next Generation" star, who was one of the judges on the panel.
Other panelists were Jeff Kalles of Penny Arcade and Greg "Porkfry" Hjertager of Microsoft. The video includes highlights from the first round and the second round, in which the judges asked further questions of those who made the initial cut. I wasn't able to fit all the pitches in the video, but you can see the announcement of the winners at the end.
Bonus footage: Here's the initial pitch for the winner, as determined by the judges: Zombie Car Wash.
