Buzzwords: Microsoft vs. Apple |

Alerting me to this funny video of Apple CEO Steve Jobs & Co. -- highlighting their penchant for colorful adjectives -- a TechFlash reader this week posed a question via email: "If Microsoft used more of these inspirational words to make people feel so good about their products, perhaps things like the Zune would sell better?"
Great point. How would Microsoft come across in a video like that?
At first I thought it might be interesting to compare the Apple video to clips of Microsoft CEO Steve Ballmer. But does the world really need another Ballmer video? Not really. Then it hit me: Kevin Turner.
If you've never heard him speak, the Microsoft chief operating officer is a modern-day master of techno-business lingo. As Apple's Phil Schiller might say, it's absolutely incredible. Turner isn't the Microsoft CEO, of course, but he's one of the most outspoken advocates for the company's products, which makes his language worth examining.
To that end, the first video above is a compilation of highlights from Turner's speech at Microsoft's July meeting with financial analysts. As a special bonus, Turner talks directly about Apple a little before the 3:00 mark. Below that is the video of Apple's executives from the company's recent special event. What do you think?
