Twitter's ongoing infrastructure problems continue. The latest issue? "We are currently investigating a problem causing many users’ timelines to be delayed," the company writes in a status update.
You can still access and post updates on Twitter, but the constant stream of messages from other people are not appearing. (My last Tweet from someone I am following came from Bill Schrier three hours ago). The topic "Twitter is Frozen" is now one of the big discussion points on Twitter.
The issue comes just a few days after Twitter announced a massive financing round, reported to be $100 million. One would think that some of that capital will go toward fixing the infrastructure problems Twitter continues to face on the back end.
Not many companies have seen the exponential growth of Twitter, now attracting more than 54 million monthly visitors. But even so, these outages do not help the company's prospects as a leader in real time news, search and information.

UPDATE: As of noon, looks like I am back in business on Twitter, so let me know if you are still having problems.
