Grocery shopping on the iPhone? Amazon.com's grocery delivery service Amazon Fresh just launched an iPhone-optimized website — making it easier for people to order a carton of milk or loaf of bread on the fly. Amazon Fresh announced the new site on Twitter, calling an "early version." It's pretty rudimentary, but performs the major functions, letting you search for products, put together an order, check out, and set a day and time for delivery.
Amazon Fresh has experimented with numerous features as it builds its business. The service has steadily expanded in the Seattle area, raising questions about whether it plans to go national.
Amazon has pinned much of its mobile strategy on the iPhone. The company has a general shopping application for iPhone and a Kindle iPhone app as well.
