Brain Teaser: Gates and Windows |
Register here for our next TechFlash Live networking event, March 23, featuring an expert panel discussing the future of online advertising.
Hoping to whet your appetite for our upcoming TechFlash Holiday Party & Birthday Bash, we'll be offering up some of our own hand-crafted trivia questions and brain teasers over the next couple weeks to test your tech knowledge and give you a sense for what to expect in the trivia contest that we'll hold at the event.
Here's the first, above. To solve the puzzle, match each image of Bill Gates on the left with the Microsoft product on the right that was released around the same time as that picture of the Microsoft chairman was taken. We've strategically cropped the product photos, so this will require not only a keen sense for Gates' aging process, but also some knowledge of Windows versions over the years.
Solution after the jump.
Solution:
1: D -- Gates on “Frazier” in 2001; Windows XP Home Edition
2: E -- At 2007 U.S. Senate Hearing; Windows Vista Ultimate
3: A -- Cover of The Road Ahead; Windows 95
4: C -- Albuquerque mug shot; Altair 8800 on Popular Electronics
5: B -- 1985 Microsoft promotional photo; Windows 1.0
We'll be back soon with more brain teasers and trivia questions that go beyond the realm of Microsoft into broader Seattle technology topics.
Of course, the event at Belltown's Spitfire on Dec. 9 will be a great party even if you're not into trivia. Sign up here to attend. If you want to compete in the trivia, note the special registration field to sign up a team of four.
