AdReady CEO and former Classmates.com executive Aaron Finn gets some love from his hometown newspaper of the Muscatine (Iowa) Journal. It is a pretty straightforward profile, but the story also includes an interesting tidbit of news I haven't seen before. It notes that AdReady now has more than 3,000 customers and annual revenue of $10 million.
Sammsoft, a Redmond maker of security software that was a part Xeritron, has been sold to Redwood City, Calif.-based Support.com for $8.5 million. The deal is expected to add between $400,000 to $600,000 in fourth quarter revenue to Support.com.
Redfin made some waves late last year when it switched its online mapping partner from Microsoft to Google. Now, the Seattle online real estate upstart said it is adding new Google imagery functionality to its house listings in San Jose and San Diego, allowing people to view homes from overhead angles.
Speaking of online real estate, Inman News reports that Zillow.com moved up one spot in the online real estate listings from Hitwise. The Seattle company is now the second most popular online real estate Web site in the country, just behind Realtor.com. Zillow had a share of 3.42 percent, surpassing Yahoo Real Esate at 3.2 percent.
Calistoga Pharmaceuticals of Seattle has released some positive results from its CAL-101 drug for patients with indolent non-Hodgkin lymphoma, reports Xconomy.
What was the true price of Lala, the Ignition-backed online music service that sold to Apple this week? Media Memo's Peter Kafka issued a correction earlier this week after publishing a story saying that the company sold at a "fire sale" price in which investors didn't make any money. Then, he came back with a story saying the purchase price was about $80 million. TechCrunch followed up, however, reporting that second story was wrong, putting the purchase price at $17 million.
