The PC versus Mac debate takes on an entirely new tone in this video, a spoof of the popular Saturday Night Live digital short "I am on a Boat." It is a pretty funny (and catchy) rap, though be warned of the offensive language.
Interestingly, the video -- dubbed "I'm on a Mac" -- has strong Seattle roots. It was conceived by the media marketing agency Banyan Branch for a new community called SwitchtoMac.com, which is sponsored by Renton software company Parallels. It was shot in San Francisco by Seedwell, whose founders hail from Seattle. (What is it with all of these Mac "fanboys" in Microsoft's backyard?)
Dave Hanley, a principal at Banyan Branch, said the video went viral shortly after it was released late last month. TechCrunch, Mashable and Huffington Post picked it up. As of Sunday morning, it had recorded more than 825,000 views on YouTube.
One of our favorite lines: "Eat a virus bro, I am on a Mac Pro, we're rocking 8-cores hard, watch the screen go." Make sure you check out "PC Pain" too.
What do you think?
And, by the way, here's the original "I am on a Boat" video which is so odd it is just downright hilarious. It has recorded 40 million views on YouTube.
