Mywedding.com is establishing a new office and headquarters in Castle Rock, Colorado, with plans to add 17 jobs at the facility. The 10-year-old company will continue to operate offices on Bainbridge Island and in Portland, and workers at those facilities will stay put, said co-founder Jim McGarvey who is based in Portland.
The company currently employs 33 people at its various offices, with CEO Woody Pastorious splitting his time between the offices. The new positions will help support the company's growth, which McGarvey said has occurred through word-of-mouth.
Mywedding.com -- which has been profitable since inception -- now claims more than 30 million page views per month.
Mywedding.com operates an online resource for couples who are planning weddings, including a free Web site building tool. It started with the online resource guide myseattlewedding.com, and has since expanded into 69 different geographies.
The company is planning a big expansion in the coming months, with Pastorious saying that it will expand to 130 markets.
Users of the service can research various local vendors, from caterers and cake makers to musicians and photographers.
“We are very excited to continue in the growth of our business with this new Castle Rock, Colorado office,” said Pastorius in a statement. “We have many advantages to housing our new headquarters here, from access to a highly skilled workforce to the quality of life that a community like Castle Rock provides. Our success has always come because we are locally focused; mywedding.com is excited to continue that success here in Colorado.”
The company has openings for new positions across the company, with plans to add sales, marketing and executives.
