Zillow falls, Redfin rises
Zillow.com fell one slot, while Redfin cracked into the top 20. That's the latest from Experian Hitwise, which released its ranking of the top real estate Web sites in the country for the month of December. Zillow.com fell to third, just behind Yahoo Real Estate and Realtor.com. Meanwhile, Redfin -- which has been expanding its service into new markets -- moved from 22nd place to 18th place for the month. You can see the top 20 in the chart below.
Meanwhile, Zillow and Zillow.com remain two of the most searched for terms on the Internet when it comes to online real estate. Those two search terms ranked second and seventh, respectively. The most searched for term remains Realtor.com. Other terms in the top 10 include "apartments for rent," "real estate," "Century 21," and "homes for sale."
Redfin was the 21st most searched for term on the Internet in the real estate category, just behind Trulia.
