Avanade, a technology consulting firm which specializes in Microsoft technologies, has named Chris Miller to the position of chief information officer. Miller previously spent 16 years at Accenture where he served as senior director of the company's Collaboration 2.0 program. Founded in 2000, Avanade is a joint venture of Microsoft and Accenture.
Ignition Partners of Bellevue is participating in a new $23 million round of funding for San Francisco-based Cloudmark, a maker of anti-virus and anti-phising products. New investors in the round -- the first for the company since 2004 -- include Summit Partners and Nokia Growth Partners.
