Zendorse CEO Tom Damico was slightly uncomfortable when he learned that I planned to post a video of his public demo of Koitunes, a new music application that he unveiled for the first time at last night's Seattle Lunch 2.0 Happy Hour in Ballard. After all, Damico says that Koitunes -- conceived just a few months ago -- is very much in the early stages of development.
Nonetheless, Damico, Grant Goodale and the rest of the crew at the Seattle startup are working hard to change the way people discover music. And they are tapping the Twitter universe (and soon the Facebook community) to pinpoint songs that friends recommend, highlighting tracks from last.fm, Pandora, Lala and other music services. Anyway, after some gentle coaxing, Damico gave the green light on sharing the video. Check it out below.
Damico, who previously worked at Microsoft, has bigger ideas for the Zendorse platform. Eventually, he sees the service expanding beyond music, possibly into book and movie recommendations.
