Chart: Yahoo up, Google down in comScore search numbers
New numbers from comScore Networks show Yahoo posting a slight gain in U.S. market share for the first time in more than a year, according to reports from Search Engine Land and other industry news sources today.
At the same time, the report shows Microsoft Bing continuing to climb, contradicting a report from Experian Hitwise earlier this week. Google declined slightly for the month, according to the comScore data.
Given the mixed findings on Bing, the most consistent takeaways from the reports are that Yahoo appears to be doing somewhat better, while Google appears to be slipping a bit, although it's still miles ahead of anyone else.
For March, Google came in at 65.2 percent in the comScore numbers, down from 65.5 percent in February. Yahoo and Bing were at 16.9 and 11.7 percent, respectively, in the March comScore data, each up just slightly.
