The Seattle 2.0 Awards are less than three weeks away. We're excited to be a media sponsor of the startup celebration this year, and as part of that we've got an opportunity to give away tickets for the big show.
If you want the free tickets, all you have to do is answer this trivia question about keynote speaker Jonathan Sposato of Picnik: Sposato is well known for selling two startup companies to Google. But what was the entrepreneur's first job in the technology industry?
Sposato
Astute readers of TechFlash will have an edge on this one, and if you need a hint just let me know in the comments. The first person to email me at johncook@bizjournals.com with the correct response will win two tickets. Please include your contact information. (Editor's note: Post updated with the contest winner, as well as the correct answer to the trivia question).
Also, this is just a friendly reminder to cast your vote for the awards, which are taking place May 19 at the Bell Harbor Conference Center in Seattle. More than 9,400 votes have already been submitted in the 11 categories. We won't even hold it against you if don't vote for TechFlash.
UPDATE: We had huge response to the ticket giveaway, and it was certainly a competitive race. The first two respondents got the question wrong, allowing Matt Kauffman of Redmond to swoop in and win the tickets. Matt is a systems developer on the Eastside, and he's working on his own little startup called ThumbReports. Congrats to Matt who beat out the second place finisher by just one minute.
And, just in case you are curious, here's the answer to the question via our June 5, 2009 interview with Sposato: "Swept the factory floors, prepped computer components and cleaned motherboards at his uncle's printed circuit board and disc drive factory in California. Payment for summer work was an Apple III computer."
If you missed out on the ticket giveaway, you can still register for the Seattle 2.0 Awards here.
