TechFlash Town Hall on June 15: Bootstrapping vs. Venture Capital |
Connect with TechFlash on our Facebook page for all the latest technology news headlines and commentary, plus information and access to special events, photos from events, promotions and more.
We've pulled together a great group of panelists, participants and other guests for our next TechFlash Live, and we have a great topic for them -- and you -- to discuss at the June 15th event.
Perhaps no topic on TechFlash drives more discussion than the debate over whether entrepreneurs should bootstrap their businesses or pursue venture capital. It's been a great ongoing dialogue, and we've learned a lot in the process. But rather than keep it confined to the digital walls of TechFlash, we're going to break it out with what's shaping up to be a truly unique event.
We're excited to assemble leading entrepreneurs, angel investors and venture capitalists for a first-of-its-kind TechFlash Town Hall Forum at Seattle University. The format of the event will be a little different than our past gatherings, a true Town Hall where a number of speakers will be able to sound off and share the floor. We expect some fireworks for sure, especially given our lineup.
They include:
Arrington
Michael Arrington, founder and publisher of TechCrunch.
Mark Britton, founder and CEO of Avvo.
Bill Bryant, angel investor and venture partner at Draper Fisher Jurvetson.
Elowitz
Hillel Cooperman, founder of Jackson Fish Market.
Ben Elowitz, founder and CEO of Wetpaint.
Geoff Entress, angel investor and venture partner at Voyager Capital.
Greg Gottesman, managing director at Madrona Venture Group.
Glover
Serena Glover, co- founder and former executive at Twango.
Glenn Kelman, president & CEO of Redfin.
Andy Liu, angel investor and co-founder of BuddyTV.
Janis Machala, founder of Paladin Partners.
Murch
Steve Murch, founder of BigOven.com and former CEO of VacationSpot.com.
Patrick O'Donnell, co-founder of Urbanspoon.
Dan Rosen, chairman of the Alliance of Angels.
Andy Sack, general partner at Founder's Co-op.
Lucinda Stewart, managing director at OVP Venture Partners.
And many, many more. We're looking forward to seeing everyone on June 15th. Tickets here.
A big thanks to our sponsors for their ongoing support of TechFlash: BDO, KeyBank and The Seattle University Master of Software Engineering.
