Control a robot with your brain?

This is pretty cool stuff. Discovery News reports on the efforts of computer science researchers at the University of Washington who have developed a way to control the movements of a robot based on human brain waves.
University of Washington professor Rajesh Rao said in the interview that the technology has been the subject of Hollywood fantasies. But it just hasn't been practical in the real world. "The issue is to what extent can we use signals form the brain to control external devices," said Rao, adding that the technology could eventually help people who are disabled.
