UC4 Software today tapped Jason Liu as chief executive. The Bellevue company is a leader in automation software, helping companies such as Suzuki, Cracker Barrel, Fiserve and more than 1,800 others automate complex information technology processes across various computing environments.
Liu is the former CEO of Univa UD, Intrinsic Technologies and Callisto Software, a mobile company that was acquired by Novell. He also is the former CFO at Ravisent Technologies, a company that went public in 1999.
“UC4 is poised to capitalize on a tremendous market opportunity as automation takes center stage in enabling cloud computing,” said Liu in a release. “I’m pleased to join the company at such an exciting time in the industry and I look forward to working with the team to innovate, grow and extend UC4’s leadership into new markets.”
The company was founded in Austria in 1985, and still retains operations there. Private equity firm The Carlyle Group purchased a majority stake in the company in 2006.
