Amazon cuts price of S3 cloud storage up to 19 percent |

Amazon.com is slashing the price of one of its core cloud computing services, Simple Storage Service (S3). The company is cutting S3 prices up to 19 percent per month starting today, writes Amazon Web Services evangelist Jeff Barr in a blog post.
It's the second Amazon cloud discount in a month. A couple weeks ago the company introduced a Free Usage Tier, giving away some cloud services for free for a year to hook developers.
Amazon was an early leader in cloud computing and has sought to keep prices competitive as more companies enter the market, offering pay-as-you go computing services via the internet.
Here are the new prices for standard storage across Amazon's US Standard, EU - Ireland, and APAC - Singapore regions:
