There's certainly no shortage of competition in the online job and recruiting space. But Mei Lu -- a former tech recruiter and software developer who previously worked at Qpass, Manugistics and SoftMed -- thinks she's come up with a better service with Jobfully. We chatted with the Redmond mom who holds a masters in engineering from Carneige Mellon University for the latest installment of Startup of the Week.
What’s your elevator pitch... Jobfully’s solution helps job seekers find a job faster and easier in today’s tough market.
We came up with the idea for the startup... As a recruiter, I had job seekers constantly asking me for advice on how to find work. I started puzzling over a scalable solution that would give them great information, tools and support for job search success.
The word that best describes our company culture is... Experiment, experiment, experiment.
We are different from the competition because... We’re not a job board! We don’t write your resume for you. We’re not a high priced career coach. We “teach you how to fish”, so to speak. Jobfully is the only affordable and effective job search solution. We help job seekers create a strategy and a personalized step-by-step plan to reach success with our exclusive self-paced video coaching program, productivity tools and community support. Jobfully puts everything job seekers need to succeed in one place.

The biggest challenge we face is... So many ideas, so little time.
We’ve raised... Zilch.
If we had $3 million, we’d invest in... 1). Marketing and Sales to scale like mad, and 2). Product Development to support the mad scaling.
The oddest thing about our company is... The male species has been a rare commodity so far.
The one thing missing from our business is... Office space, office politics and an office pet.
We won’t fail because... Today’s job seekers need help and we have a unique solution for them that works. We are passionate about helping people succeed and nothing can stop us.
