After seeing nine months of growth in the U.S. search market, Microsoft’s Bing fell flat in May, according to the latest report from comScore.
Google remained No. 1 in May with 65.5 percent of the U.S. search market. Yahoo was No. 2 with 15.9 percent’ and Microsoft’s Bing had 14.1 percent.
Ask Network accounted for 2.9 percent of searches, followed by AOL with 1.5 percent.
In May, U.S. internet surfers made 17 billion explicit core searches (up 5 percent over April), using Google for 11.2 billion searches (up 5 percent), followed by Yahoo with 2.7 billion searches (also up 5 percent) and Bing with 2.4 billion (up 4 percent).
Microsoft’s Bing search engine saw a slight gain in search market share in April, but not enough to move ahead of Yahoo or gain much ground on search champ Google. The April gains ended a nine-month run where Bing make gains in the U.S. search market, according to according to SearchBlog.
