Here's a daily deal for all you PopCap fans out there: Plants vs. Zombies, one of the Seattle gaming company's most popular games, is available for $10 today through Tippr.
The video game download -- half-off the regular $20 price tag -- is available for PCs and Macs. So far, 30 people have bought the deal, which will run for another four days.
PopCap does have some aggressive sales goals to hit in the next couple of years (per the term of its $750 million acquisition by Electronic Arts it could get another $550 million if it hits "performance milestones by December 2013), is that why it's turning to a daily deals coupon?
As the daily deals market has grown over the past couple years, so have the offerings. Everything from facials and karate classes to auto detail and hotel rentals are up for grabs -- and it looks like we can now add video games to the list. I wonder if this will mark the start of a new trend?
