Amazon.com’s online video streaming service has rapidly expanded its TV and movie offerings as the Seattle retail and tech giant continues to take on Netflix and other competitors in a big way.
Amazon Instant Video now offers more than 100,000 movies and TV shows. The offerings include new release movies for rent and the some of the latest TV shows available the day after they first air.
Subscribers to Amazon Prime shipping service also can choose from more than 9,000 TV shows and movie, thanks to recent content deals with CBS and NBCUniversal.
When Amazon launched its new video streaming service to take on Netflix in February, the service had more than 5,000 movies and TV shows.
