Manpower Group is offering jobs to 240 people being laid off at a Bremerton call center that supports telecom companies including Sprint.
TeleTech is laying off 240 employees effective Oct. 30 at a call center in Bremerton, according to a notice from the state labor department.
But Manpower plans to make employment offers to the Teletech employees who have been working on the Sprint account, said a spokeswoman for Manpower.
The call center’s parent company IBM is ending its contract with TeleTech, but is inking a new contract with Manpower of Silverdale, Peggy Barnett of WorkSource Kitsap County employment counseling center told the Kitsap Sun.
“Every person working for TeleTech has or will have a job offer for the exact same position,” Barnett told the Sun. “Nobody is losing their job, unless they decide not to transfer over to Manpower.
