Seattle social marketing agency Spring Creek Group has been acquired by Mediabrands, the media holding company within Interpublic Group.
Spring Creek, which provides social analytics, outreach, and community management for its clients, will retain its brand as part of the Mediabrands digital agency division, the companies said in an announcement.
"Mediabrands is one of the most forward-thinking companies in the business, and we’re excited to become part of MAP," Clay McDaniel, managing partner of Spring Creek Group, said in a statement. "Social media is no longer an experimental marketing method, but has instead become a critical component of every brand’s global strategy, and working hand-in-hand with MAP will enable the Spring Creek Group team to provide our deep social analytics and strategy expertise to more marketers worldwide."
Spring Creek Group was founded in 2006. Clients include Microsoft, HTC, US Bank, and LiveNation. McDaniel, a co-founder of Spring Creek, was named as one of the Puget Sound Business Journal's 40 Under 40 for 2011.
