Cloud storage startup Newline Software has raised $1.3 million in funding.
Co-founder Kory Gill told Reuters the Seattle Startup is wrapping up its latest financing round, which will bring total funding to $1.3 million. Gill said the funds are from friends and family.
Newline Software allows people to store photos and documents in the cloud. Newline Software recently released Exact, its online backup service.
Former Microsoft workers Gill and Marius Nita launched the company in June 2008. They target consumers and small businesses, and want to give them a way to protect their critical files by creating backup versions in remote data centers.
Newline Software’s trademark is 0xDA, which is computer code for “new line,” a reference to the company’s name.
