Seattle's Fisher Communications sees big jump in online ad sales |

At Fisher Communications, TV ad revenue is still king, but the Seattle broadcasting company is drawing a bigger portion of is revenue from its online neighborhood news sites in Seattle, Portland and other cities.
Internet revenue grew 52 percent to $1.4 million, in the third quarter, which ended Sept. 30. Internet revenue was 7 percent of TV net revenue, according to Fisher’s regulatory filing Monday.
Fisher’s total revenue for the quarter, which includes Fisher Plaza, was $39.7 million, down 5 percent from the third quarter of 2010.
In 2010, Fisher -- which operates KOMO-TV, radio stations and Fisher Plaza, located near the Space Needle. -- made a big push with its neighborhood blogs in Seattle and other markets.
The company partners with Bellevue startup DataSphere on online local ads.
